Description

This two-day course is designed for concealed carry handguns, pocket pistols, or revolvers. Students learn the fundamentals of carrying a handgun for personal protection, additional carry modes, and holsters worn inside and outside the waistband, pocket, purse, appendix, ankle, cross draw carry and the advantages and disadvantages of each. The course also includes information on the concealed carry mindset, other essential carry gear and how to safely carry and draw your handgun from your preferred carry mode. Day 1 range exercises include drawing from concealment, malfunction drills, and shooting from cover and concealment. Day 2 range exercises include timed shooting and qualification drills, shooting on the move, engaging moving targets and force-on-force scenarios. Please note: This course does not qualify for the MS Enhanced Permit endorsement.

Additional information

What to bring:

• Concealed Carry Handgun, Pocket Pistol or Revolver
• Quality Polymer, Kydex, or other rigid material holster. Strongside hip holsters are preferred, but strong side IWB holsters and appendix carry holsters and cover garments are allowed. Blackhawk SERPA holsters are NOT allowed. Your holster MUST be gun-specific and you MUST be able to re-holster one-handed. The instructor has the final say on if the holster can be used in the course.
• Quality gun belt
• 350 Rounds of ammunition
• Minimum 3 magazines or speed loaders for your firearm
• Eye protection, ear protection (electronic preferred), ball cap/sun visor, Sunscreen, bug spray, etc.
• High neck shirts/t-shirt, closed-toe shoes, pants or shorts with belt loops and loose pockets
