Well, we have been saying the crime numbers have been under reported for a while now. Some major cities failed to report their stats for a variety of reasons, but primarily to save face. The updated statistics were revised without any actual news outlets notified. The only way you would know of the change is you saved the old numbers and compared them to the stats now available.
