Church Security is much more than just a security guard in the parking lot or a select few armed church members! A church should have a comprehensive plan to respond to a wide variety of emergencies including, fire, tornado, medical emergencies, Active Shooter and more.
Our Instructors can work with your congregation through an online and classroom curriculum to help your church be better prepared for a multitude of emergencies.
The decision to introduce an armed Church Security Team into your congregation should not be taken lightly. Most state required Concealed Carry Permit courses are very basic and do not properly prepare a Security Team Member to engage an Active Shooter in a crowded church. Only through advanced training, will Security Team Members learn how to best respond to an Active Shooter.

In addition to Enhanced Carry classes, we also offer custom programs including on-site evaluations, advanced firearms training, active shooter training, and shooting re-certifications. Our tiered approach allows you to tailor your curriculum to meet both your budget and security needs.
Mississippi State law requires every member of a Church Security Team to be:
- Documented in writing by the governing body of the church
- Have a valid MS Firearms Permit, and
- Have an Enhanced Carry (IC) Endorsement.

Re-certification & Re-qualification & Church Security / Non Profit Membership
Recertification - Upon completion of an Enhanced Carry course, Mississippi District Attorneys encourage semi-annual, or at least annual, training for any church security team member.
Boondocks™ offers a half-day Re-certification course for $75.00 per student that includes a refresher on safety and shooting fundamentals, awareness and avoiding conflict, proper technique for drawing from a holster and a shooting qualification drill. We also offer regular church security team Re-qualification options at $40.00 per student for those that have previously completed the re-certification course. Churches that are part of our Church Security / Non Profit Range Membership can utilize their $250 Training Voucher for 1 team Re-certification (valued at $250) or 2 team Re-qualifications (valued at $125 each) per membership year.

Tier One
On-Site Evaluation - This initial on-site evaluation allows the Boondocks™ staff to meet with your security team and staff to evaluate your facility and help develop a plan on to how respond to different types of threats including both active shooter and natural disasters. Boondocks' instructors will also help develop a training curriculum for your security team.
Length: 4 Hours (One 4 Hour Session or Two 2 Hour Sessions)

Tier Two
Firearms Training - After completing the On Site Evaluation, Church Security Team Members can attend specially designed curriculum to help them develop the Attitude, Ability, and Awareness necessary to defend themselves and other members. This specially designed curriculum will cover the Legal Aspects of both Individual Enhanced Carry Permit Holders and those of the Church Security Team. In addition, it will introduce them to defensive shooting techniques and allow them to practice these skills on a live firing range. These courses can include the state mandated Enhanced Permit Course or our more advanced concealed carry courses or a private custom firearms training curriculum.

Tier Three
Simulator Training - The simulator is designed to expose the student to real-life scenarios, and allows the student to see how they would react should they be confronted by a threat. Multiple scenarios are presented to the student followed by an after action debriefing to discuss what they did and what they could have done differently. The students will NOT be using live ammunition during this course. SIRT Laser pistols and CO2 loaded firearms are used in the training. The objectives achieved in these exercises will allow the student to see their strengths and weaknesses.

Tier Four
Force on Force Training - The Boondocks™ staff will recreate active threat scenarios in our large Shoot House facility using Ultimate Training Munitions (UTM) or your church. This will allow your security team to react to different training scenarios in real time and allow them to modify their preparations and plans based on the simulated scenarios. The objectives achieved in these exercises will allow the student to see their strengths and weaknesses and help them learn to enact the plans they have developed in previous tiers.
