Sound Hunting Advice
If you catch me in the deer stand this season, you will likely find me with two important hunting assets, snacks and my electronic hearing protection. Even if I am hunting with a suppressor, I will still use my hearing protection. When I started firearms training, I invested in electronic hearing protections that made it easy to hear range commands while filtering out the damaging noise from gun fire. As the hearing protection technology increased, I upgraded to a Bluetooth version that would connect to my phone. Soon, I found myself using them on the range, while mowing my yard, and even in the woods. Today, my electronic hearing protection actually helps me hear approaching game, while also protecting my hearing if a shot is presented. If I get board in the stand, I can listen to a little music or a podcast to help pass the time.
